Thanks to a very wide selection, I ensure that your kid will never play twice with the same plaything in case you subscribe from the 2nd to the 7th birthday of your child, swapping boxes every 2 months. My mission is to bring diversity and joy in your child's environment to foster a love for discoveries and learning!

Therefore, all the playthings in the catalogue have been carefully selected based on the targeted age, child's benefits, parent's opinion, theme and material. I am not sponsored by any brands, I really select the best playthings for your child as I am doing for my kids, with conscientiousness and Mom's mindset. Inspired by Montessori approach, I love natural materials as wood and stone to encourage tactile learning experiences. "The child's intelligence can develop to a certain level without the help of the hands. But if it develops with his hands, then the level it reaches is higher, and the child's character is stronger" (Montessori, The absorbent mind).

Most of our playthings are coming from high-end brands, and especially from France, Germany and UK as Janod, Djeco, Haba, Schleich, Yellow Door... Those brands have a huge "savoir-faire" in innovating, designing and manufacturing toys. They focus on quality and bring pedagogical support. To me, your child deserves the best selection of playthings, whatever the language. Almost all our selected playthings are translated in Dutch and/or in English, and for the few others, I am providing you a translation to ease the play. Just relax and enjoy!

Embracing learning through play around a theme

Playing is so important for the child that this recreational activity is recognized as a right in the article 31 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (United Nations, 1989). And playing is not only about having fun... It is about learning, exploring the world, bonding with playmates, reducing stress and anxiety and promoting well-being. To me, UNICEF did a great article on how play is crucial to strenghten child's mental health.

Chidren learn while playing... and learning with playful conditions is also valuable. Kid's learning is strengthened in all areas of development when an activity is proposed as a play. Why ? Doctor in philosophy Mc Innes* has shown that children are more motivated and engaged while learning with playful conditions. Indeed, how fun is it to practice mathematics and experience addition and subtraction with a game and small cars! And to learn mastering social and emotional skills, the play helps to protect the self-esteem (Howard J., 2010).

In subscribing, your kid is receiving a box with 5 playthings, carefully selected to stimulate his/her development and learnings. Are you curious about what's inside a box?

And to have more impact, each box is designed around a theme. Therefore, the 5 playthings your kid is playing with are all linked by a topic. It brings meaning and coherence, nurturing curiosity, structuring learning and consolidating knowledge. Your kid is exploring a concept from several angles, using different areas of development: language, motor, social and emotional and cognitive.

Themes are selected according to the child's interests and age. The themes are either developed as the child grows (as ocean or forest, which are recurrent themes in my offer), or new ones appear to satisfy the child's curiosity, as daily routine for 2-3yo, school for 3-4yo, princess and knight for 4-5yo, astronomy for 5-6yo and world discovery for 6-7yo. Nature preservation, environmental awareness and animals protection means a lot to me... Don't be surprised to have such themes in your coming boxes 😊

I offer a huge variety of playthings to create a rich and balanced learning environment at home.
Therefore, each box contains 5 playthings, each fostering an area of your child's development.

One plaything to IMAGINE...

... encouraging open-ended play!

Unlike structured play defined with pre-determined rules, open-ended play starts blank and it is up to your child to unleash his/her imagination. Stimulating other parts of the brain, it allows your kid to increase social skills, to boost creativity and to develop emotional capabilities.

Your kid will receive for example qualitative animal figurines, dress-up and play-sets. For toddlers, I choose preferably toys promoting sensorial exploration. Starting 3yo, smaller and more detailed miniatures are selected to inspire stories and details curiosity. For kids aged 5-6yo, imagination playthings are also used as a support to illustrate a concept, such as spotting the differences between a sea turtle and a tortoise!

And no, it is not only puzzles... even if I have nice ones with layers or which glow-in-the-dark! 😄

On top of funny memos, "search and find" toys or following a music score to play an instrument, I have plenty of playthings to initiate your kid to coding, space perception and 3D-thinking, problem solving and planning. Of course I propose the right plaything at the right age. For 2-3yo, I foster for example the spacial insight (behind, on the front, on the left...), which is the basis for coding skills and mathematics learning for a 4yo preschooler.

One plaything to MANIPULATE, build or move

With this plaything, your kid will mainly exercise the eye-hand coordination and the fine motor skills.

In the box, your child might receive a balanced game, a magneti'book with small elements to reproduce a picture or express his/her creativity, or blocks & elements to build, roll, squeeze, press, thread...

And to live very cheerful moments with the closest entourage. In this category, your kid will mostly play with various (and often award winning!) boarding games. I am selecting games to be enjoyed by adults and young children alike. At 2yo, the game is only 5-minutes long to fit with the concentration capacity of your toddler and it is mainly cooperation games to preserve his/her self-esteem. Step-by step, the rounds will be longer, more tactical and the mechanism more diversified. You can expect to play with your 6yo-kid a genuine trading-game!

One plaything to LEARN

As there is a link with the theme of the box, your kid will be delighted to discover a new concept, as it is part of the play. As a mum, I have often been frustrated to not have the appropriate resource while explaining a concept to my kids. And it is expensive to buy it for few weeks...

Here I offer a solution: life-cycle cards, animal footprints, detailed and qualitative animal figurines, mathematics supports to understand measures and fractions, globe, land and water shapes, motorized solar system, detailed body parts... Your kid will find answers to his/her questions while experiencing and playing!
